Work Samples

Whether graduate-level academic writing, institutional report writing, or enterprise planning, I have experience and samples of the comprehensive documents I have prepared that have been created using empirical evidence can be prepared in a matter of weeks.

City of Edmonton:

Stakeholder Engagement Plan

Utilizing Kaner's stakeholder mgt principles and appreciative inquiry, my strategic approach emphasizes collaborative strength-based approaches to co-create comprehensive and effective outcomes.

Cyber Incident:

Crisis Communications Plan

An example of how front-facing municipalities must proactively prepare for crisis is through the example of cyber security threats. This sample blends a targeted cyber incident crisis management plan with a paired communications plan that can compliment and enhance existing policy without the need for extensive and costly revisions.

Arctic Region:

Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment

This 'mini' hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA) presents an example of the research and analysis that can be rapidly produced for any organization or enterprise. Here I use the Canadian Arctic Region as a trans-jurisdictional example inspired by the sub-contract NWT documents of the 2000's and my research on the intersection of Canadian Arctic Sovereignty and the field of Disaster Management.

Academic Writing

A short sample of my academic writing on sustainable built environment recovery practices from the perspective of disaster and emergency management.

A High-Consequence / High-Performance Work System

READ THE REPORT

EXAMPLE: Peer Feedback and 360-Degree Review

This is an example/template 360-Degree Feedback Report, which gathers performance evaluations from peers, supervisors, and self-assessments across key categories such as communication, collaboration, and leadership, providing comprehensive feedback to support personal and professional development.

EXAMPLE: Continuing Learning & Development Plan

Here is a basic individual development plan for an individual that includes a brief recap of past learning and on-going learning followed by three new learning opportunities, one with a fixed time period, one with 'low-level' internal training, and one that spans multiple reporting periods.

EXAMPLE: SMART Goals and OKRs

Examples of SMART goals and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), providing structured, measurable objectives aimed at improving call response and handling efficiency in emergency dispatch centres, with clear timelines and performance metrics to track progress.

EXAMPLE: Conflict Resolution Protocol

This is a detailed example for a conflict resolution protocol using an alternative dispute resolution approach to address conflicts at the lowest level by assigning neutral mediators, encouraging open communication, facilitating collaborative solutions, and implementing follow-up processes to ensure resolutions are maintained and team cohesion is preserved.

EXAMPLE: Team Agreement

Here is an example of a team that can be used to align team culture with organizational culture and clearly promote a balanced culture of sustainable high-performance. This example was for a decentralized remote team and the example should be adjusted to fit the users needs.
